I love this award-winning board book about a kitten who mistakes the moon for a bowl of milk and its determined — and delightfully hopeless — quest to reach the moon. It's a beautifully told story (for which Kevin Henkes won the Caldecott), and this board book edition makes it a perfect first narrative for little kids.  This brave little kitten will have your heart.
