Donkey-Donkey
Roger Duvoisin
$17.95
Donkey-donkey is sad about his ears. They are too long and too ridiculous, and all his friends on the farm have much more sensible ones. So he tries wearing them floppy like the dog's, to the side like the sheep's, to the front like the pig's — with increasingly disastrous results. First published in 1933 and illustrated in full color in 1940, this is one of Duvoisin's earliest and most charming books, its pen-and-ink and watercolor illustrations full of the ease and warmth that would later win him the Caldecott Medal. A perfect companion to Day and Night and The Frog in the Well.
