How Little Lori Visited Times Square

What makes this book so delightfully unusual is its absurdist, open-ended humor — Lori never actually reaches Times Square, and the story ends with him riding off on a helpful but agonizingly slow turtle. I love the book's small, unique size (just 5.5" x 7.5") and Sendak's illustrations  make it even more of a quirky treasure. It's one of my favorite New York books to gift.
