Sid Sharp’s newest book is theatrical and dreamlike, beautifully eerie and weird. In Sharp’s world of monsters, mysteries, music, and midnight mischief, each creature is given just the right amount of charm and strangeness. The colors (the moth’s turquoise wings! the burgundy goblins!) are exquisite, and the sounds, too — alliterations abound in this supernatural story that culminates in the eeriest goodnight sequence since Goodnight Moon — great green room and all.
