There is a wall running right down the middle of this book, and the small knight on the left side of it is absolutely certain it is keeping him safe. What the readers see, and what he doesn't, is the water slowly rising, and the crocodile moving towards him, on his own side. As funny and pointed as picture books get — the reader can see everything the knight cannot, and the joke builds beautifully with every turn of the page.
